Exit stuck nested SSH connection

Like I SSH to a server which SSH to another one and the latter connection becomes at some point stuck (for instead because suspend the latter server), then how to exit gracefully from this connection?

When it is not nested I usually just close the terminal. How to cleanly proceed without closing the terminal when it is not nested? On Termux I holding click on terminal and More... > Kill process (PROCESS_ID) also closes the terminal. ctrl + c/d/x/z does not work.
