filenamemangle supports two patterns, each causing different behaviour. * The first pattern replaces the existing URL with the new filename. * The second pattern modifies the filename component, creating a new (and invalid) URL. -

This patch removes the GZREPACK variable to simplify the test sequence. The patch also adds a minor workaround for testWatch4WebNonNativeMUT0(), which only makes use of component tarballs, although it does download a main upstream tarball. The test sequence expects to find a main tarball with a .xz extension, but because the main tarball is not repacked, the expected file is not found. To work around this, we set STARBALL to the original tarball name. No other test requires this special handling.

If "wget" isn't installed in the system, "wnpp-check" command returns an empty output. Despite being "curl" installed in the system and WNPP is present for the package. As soon as we install "wget" package, everything works fine. This happens because unlike "wget", by default "curl" doesn't follow HTTP redirections. And on use of non-HTTPs URL, server (debian.org) returns a HTTP 302 header, see bug report log 1002311[1] for more information.
