Encrypted system unable to boot with kernel 6.12.6

The package rockchip-support version 0.3.1 is pulling in linux-image-6.12-rockchip as a dependency. However, my PinePhonePro will not boot properly with that kernel. It stops booting after the status LED changes from red to yellow (indicating to boot from the eMMC), just before the keyboard for entering the full disk encryption passphrase should appear.

I started with an older install with FDE on the eMMC that had rockchip-support version 0.3.0 installed and performed a system upgrade, which pulled in kernel 6.12.6-1 as a dependency for rockchip-support version 0.3.1. Then the PPP was not booting anymore after the restart. After restoring my system backup, I put the package on hold via sudo apt-mark hold rockchip-support and reapplied the system upgrade, which resulted in a bootable system with just kernel 6.6.23+rockchip-1 installed.
