not receiving texts

No longer receiving texts on a pinephone with mobian phosh. I installed mobian early in february 2022 and text was working both ways. I'm using the default texting app and t-mobile

I stopped receiving texts about a week ago so I followed https://wiki.mobian-project.org/doku.php?id=mms

this solved the issue but once again I am not able to receive texts today. I tried the command again with no success as well as updating via

sudo apt update 
sudo apt full-upgrade -y

I've also tried reinstalling. Texts worked initially, then stopped working in under an hour.
