Emacs, Htop, and Vim do not open from shortcuts

Trying to open the GUI versions of Emacs/Vim or Htop from their shortcuts will not work. Tapping the icon just brings up the desktop and does not appear to have anything in the task switcher. These packages run normally when opened through the terminal.
