STOPPED. STABLE. SHELVED.
Several years ago, I cut-back work on the benchmarks-game project. Once a year, I installed Ubuntu & install programming language tools & install benchmarks-game scripts & made measurements & publish measurements.
- Sometimes there's work to be done on the website, to make a more effective (or at least different) presentation.
- Sometimes old programs fail to work with the upgraded programming language tools, and the project relies on someone else contributing a fix.
- When the programming language upgrade provides new language features, the project relies on someone else contributing new programs that make effective use of the new features.
On the other hand.
-
We already have enough exhaustively optimized Rust and C programs.
-
We already have enough hand-written vector SIMD and "unsafe" programs.
Thank you.
STOPPED. Updates will be infrequent. Once a year or less.
March 2025: use BenchExec, show startup warmup measurements, show more similar measurements.
STOPPED.
