newcomer: setup debci to run locally on your machine and post a screenshot

This issue is the place to get help with setting up debci locally. This issue will also be used to help newcomers solve any problems they face while doing that. Your task is:

  • Clone the debci git repository.

  • Follow the instructions in docs/HACKING.md to get debci up and running.

  • Post a comment here, with a attached screenshot of the debci home page running on your machine.

    • the screenshot must show that your debci instance has some test data.
    • double check the attachment to make sure you are not leaking any sensitive information about yourself.
  • If you have any problems, read the existing comments in this issue to see if anyone else had the same issue as you before, and check if the answers they got can help you.

  • If you have a problem that no one faced before, then post a new comment describing your problem and you will get help.

    • search for error messages you get on the internet to see if it is a common issue people have; more likely than not, someone on the internet has had the same problem as you before.
    • be specific, include details:
      • what OS are you using? (specially, if you are not using Debian be explicit about what OS and what version)
      • what exactly are you trying to do?
      • what steps did you try exactly?
      • what error message did you get exactly?
      • when dealing with the terminal, please use copy & paste from the terminal, instead of sending screenshots. surround your pasted lines with lines containing just "```" (three back ticks) to make sure they will be formatted as code.

After your local environment is set up, choose an open issue marked with the newcomer label to work on. You don't need to ask for permission to work in an issue: just leave a comment to let others know that you are working on it.

Please do not close this issue.
