Replacement of the cube

- angled sdi adapter (for the connection on the camera)

The PRO version records all streams. It might not be possible to disable that, so that might require too much disk space.
The 4 port version has limited pic-in-pic features
It should be possible to control this device using openswitcher (in debian).

If you use the rode microphones (see below), they can connect directly with the switcher.
It doesn't look like there's a free alternative to the software that comes with the device.
