Sorry for the delay, I had trouble finding the time to test and submit a PR. Here are the issues that remain in this PR.

  1. "entrypoint commands" autoloads are not generated. Are they needed? If so, I can patch them in.

  1. I don't think that verbiste.el actually has a hard dependency on the verbiste (>= ${source:Version}) and believe that this should be changed to verbiste.

Piuparts stretch2sid and sid2sid are good.
