IRC Channel topic is not reflected on element/matrix room

On my account I noticed that the channel topic set in IRC on #salsa is not reflected on the salsa room of element.debian.social.

Actually, the only room that has the topic correctly reflected is #debian-rust.

All other rooms that I'm subscribed to don't display the topic (eg. debian-devel, salsa...) and I noticed that none of them actually begins with a #. So it seems only the rooms which name start with # have the topic replicated from IRC -> element.
