[buster] cockpit: not authorized to perform operation

EDIT: Seems to be a problem in buster, and working in bullseye.

For example, formatting an external disk is not possible, even if the check-mark to use the login to gain permissions was ticked.

In the terminal it's apparent that only the login (admin) account is used, and it requires a manual sudo -i, for example to be able to successfully edit a configuration file.
