Zoph is prompting for username and password two more times after logging in to FreedomBox
My FreedomBox is...
\> You are running Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) and FreedomBox version 24.24. FreedomBox is up to date.
I think I'm getting too many login prompts when trying to use Zoph. I would expect to log in to FreedomBox and then Zoph would use SSO. I have duplicated this problem with my joseph user (my normal FreedomBox account with FB and Zoph admin privs) and with an ordinary FreedomBox user joe for which I manually created a corresponding Zoph account named joe with no password specified in the Zoph user creation form. During periods of normal use where I'm not trying to recreate this problem, sometimes I have a Zoph login prompt and sometimes I do not. I have not recognized a pattern yet.
Here's how this really goes for me:
-
Log out of Zoph
-
Log out of FreedomBox
-
Clear the FreedomBox cookies from the browser
-
Clear any FreedomBox saved passwords from the browser
-
Close all of the browser windows
-
Open a new browser and log in to FreedomBox with username and password as expected.
-
Click the Zoph tile from FreedomBox
-
A login prompt appears even though I'm already logged into FreedomBox. The blurred host name is my FreedomBox FQDN.
This may be a corresponding log entry: myfb:443 192.168.144.101 - joe [12/Dec/2024:12:06:02 -0700] "GET /zoph/css.php?logged_on=no HTTP/2.0" 200 910 "https://myfb/zoph/logon.php" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:128.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/128.0"
-
The the Zoph page opens (with visible content) and asks again for login credentials. The blurred hostname is the FreedomBox FQDN.
Next I'm going to see if I can duplicate this again under more normal circumstances (no cookie, password deletion etc.). I have seen this behavior in more ordinary use cases.
