made some changes according to feedback received

a. Made a new branch called faqchanges to do all the changes, this way faq is still in pristine state

b. bumped java jdk and jre versions from to version 7 and 8 (jessie and stretch respectively)

c. Removed all statements of gcj as that would only confuse people

d. And lastly fixed all xml issues with change to docbook and removed the sgml file.
