Get rid of lab queries, too. · 0dc99b32
      Felix Lechner authored
This is a continuation of the previous commit and could be merged into
it. Removes the facility to query the lab from the lintian command
line, a feature also known as lab query.

Static labs are obsolete; all labs are temporary from now on. · a906ce43
      Felix Lechner authored
Temporary labs are the new default. Static labs have not been used for
some time in the reporting framework. They are obsolete.

Adjusts or removes many, and hopefully all, references to static labs.
Removes function arguments, subroutines and instance methods related.
Removes environment variables and constants. Adjust the documentation
      throughout.

Also removes 'frontend/lintian-lab-tool'. Does not remove lab queries.

Temporary labs can still be kept after a Lintian run by specifying the
      command line option '--keep-lab'.

lintian: Back out of loading checks from $HOME and /etc · 6aa20a6c
      Niels Thykier authored
aptdaemon uses Lintian to do a minimal check of packages before
installing them. It is possible that loading checks from $HOME and
/etc by default could lead to (local user) privilege escalation.

The upstream of aptdaemon has been notified of the coming changes[1],
but they might not be the only ones to use Lintian in a situation like
this. So only allow "non-code" files to be loaded from $HOME and /etc
by default for now. Where needed/desired, it is still possible to use
      --include-dir to "promote" these directories.

L::Profile: Allow and subst {VENDOR} in the profile name · e8913920
      Niels Thykier authored
Allow {VENDOR} to appear in the profile name - it can be used with the
"--profile" (or LINTIAN_PROFILE) to request the "most specific vendor
specific" for a profile. As an example, Lintian's default choice for
a profile can now be described via:

        --profile {VENDOR}/main

With this, it is possible to create application specific profiles that
have vendor specific cases (without having to do the vendor mapping
      manually).
