With this new option, the debian-installer is built from its git repository from the timestamp of SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH. This allows for reproducible rebuilds of the installer in the live image.
With the introduction of a separate chroot environment, the installer stage does not necessarily influence the result from the chroot stage.
