erroneous extraction of strings from "upstream/archlinux|opensuse-tumbleweed/man1/gdb.1"

In the "gdb.1" man page, there are a number of strings that appear in English as if untranslated, and additionally in double quotes compared to the "msgid" strings in the "gdb.1.po" file where they are "free", without the quotes.

It seems that po4a is erroneously extracting strings starting with ".IX" instead of (I suspect) those starting with ".el".
