Import NMU changes originally from js/webrtc-audio-processing

This is to merge changes from js/webrtc-audio-processing, which builds on top of bigon/webrtc-audio-processing. Also see the tags debian/1.0-0.1, debian/1.0-0.2, upstream/1.0, and upstream and pristine-tar branches there.
