Some Ubuntu Delta for Qemu 5.0

Hi, as usual I collected some changes that I think are worthwhile fixes/improvements for Debian as well. The majority that I had you picked up with upstream 5.0 or will do so with upstream 5.1. What is left for you is in this PR.

The individual commits should be self explanatory, but let me know if there are questions.
