APK files could not detect java code change

I have made small change (a string) inside java class file. Generate 2 APK files to compare but diffoscope doesn't show class.dex file has changed?.

Used "Analyze APK" tool from Android studio, the size of class.dex doesn't change. Is it diffoscope only based on size of class.dex to reflect whether class.dex is changed or not?.

diffoscope --version diffoscope 128
