All CI jobs failing with "ERROR: Preparation failed: exit status 1"

I just noticed that since yesterday, all CI jobs seem to be failing with:

This seems like an issue in the runners themselves, and reported to Salsa Admins by @cjwatson an hour ago in salsa/support#490 (closed)

This issue in Salsa CI is only to help people discover it. To fix it, let's patiently wait for Salsa Admins to take a look.
