may i use salsa to rebuild reverse dependencies to prepare transitions ?

Hi, i'm considering using https://bzed.de/post/2021/01/building_reverse_build_dependencies_in_salsa_ci/

to rebuild a rather large set of reverse dependencies. Is it something that is acceptable to do on salsa ci ? Or will it consume too much resources as in #170 (closed) ?

That would, of course, not be done often, only for planning transitions.

I made a test with the reverse build dependencies of libnode-dev: https://salsa.debian.org/js-team/nodejs/-/pipelines/358409

it's really useful, and i'd like to extend this to all 1700 reverse build dependencies of nodejs (except chromium, firefox, firefox-esr, thunderbird, and nodejs itself). (To be done only when preparing the transition of a new nodejs major version.)

The shared runners are definitely not for such kind of rebuilds. You are of course free to provide your own runner for that task.

Ok i tried to setup a custom runner, following https://wiki.debian.org/Salsa/Doc/CustomRunners and https://salsa.debian.org/federico/gitlab-runner-nspawn/ but it seems some more configuration is missing (runner just fails to run the jobs, without much debug log even with gitlab-runner --debug).
