W: unbound source: incorrect-packaging-filename debian/NEWS.Debian -> debian/NEWS N: N: Some packaging files obtain different names when they are copied from N: source to installation packages. Debhelper sometimes adds *.Debian N: extensions to NEWS, README and TODO files. That can be confusing. N: N: Debhelper's behavior also depends on the filename. N: N: This source package contains a file that debhelper will not find. The N: file will not be included in your installation packages. Important N: information, such as incompatibilties on upgrades, may not reach your N: users. N: N: Please rename the file as indicated. N: N: Refer to https://bugs.debian.org/429510, https://bugs.debian.org/946126, N: and https://bugs.debian.org/946041 for details. I: libunbound8: symbols-file-missing-build-depends-package-field N: N: The symbols file for this package does not contain a N: Build-Depends-Package meta-information field. N: N: This field specifies the name of the -dev package associated to the N: library and is used by dpkg-shlibdeps(1) to make sure that the N: dependency generated is at least as strict as the corresponding build N: dependency. N: N: This is useful as allows packages to not hardcode this information N: multiple times. N: N: Note that the format of deb-symbols(5) files requires that the * N: Build-Depends-Package: line should start in column one of the file and N: not be indented to align with the symbols themselves. Please do not use N: the placeholder #PACKAGE#. The development package for your N: shared library must be stated explicitly. N: N: Refer to the deb-symbols(5) manual page, the dpkg-shlibdeps(1) manual N: page, N: https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/maint-guide/advanced.en.html#librarysymbols, N: and https://bugs.debian.org/944047 for details. With the introduction of a safety check around the use of --pidfile in start-stop-daemon (the best summary of which I've found is in https://bugs.debian.org/921557), the unbound init script's use of start-stop-daemon in the 'reload' action is now reporting an error: [....] Reloading DNS server: unboundstart-stop-daemon: matching only on non-root pidfile /run/unbound.pid is insecure failed! The other actions all appear to be correct, because they include --name $NAME, which makes start-stop-daemon happy; it's only the reload action which has the difficulty.
