lomiri: new windows are often created at the very top of the screen, so that the window bar is outside of the screen (above it)

How to reproduce this issue:

  • Install Debian 13 minimal on physical hardware (e.g. a notebook) or a VM, and run apt install lomiri afterwards. Reboot.
  • Login into Lomiri
  • Assure that Lomiri runs in "windowed mode". Open some app windows.
  • Move the mouse pointer via a pointing device to the right until the stage view appears

What you will observe:

  • Newly opened apps are fully visible on screen only sometimes.
  • Often newly opened apps are at the top of the screen, so that the window's top bar is not reachable with this pointing device
  • When you move your mouse pointer to the right, so that the stage kicks in shortly, the not reachable windows will be moved down and are fully visible on screen by the mouse pointer

What should happen:

  • When launching apps in Lomiri's windowed mode, they shoud also appear fully visible on screen. The top bar of newly launch applications should always be reachable with the mouse pointer
