debootstrap is just a shell script, we don't need to check build hardening and "any" architecture build.

Check Valid date with InRelease file See merge request installer-team/debootstrap!21

APT checks whether a repostiroty is valid or not via "Until-Valid:" field in InRelease file. debootstrap should check it, too. When user explicitly want to ignore it (e.g. use snapshot.debian.org), specify --ignore-repo-expire option.

#914208: Disable merged /usr by default when making a buildd chroot See merge request installer-team/debootstrap!23
-
Simon McVittie authored
Merged /usr is known to cause multiple packages to be misbuilt. As long as we support unmerged /usr for user systems, we should mitigate this class of bugs by using unmerged-/usr chroots on official buildds, resulting in binary packages that work equally well on merged- or unmerged-/usr user systems. Among the scripts that were dropped in 8ab54a91 are the scripts of Debian derivatives. This means that derivatives would have to rebuild the package to have a working installer. This is rather unfriendly for derivatives that make the effort to have their script merged in the official debootstrap package. The few kilobytes saved are not worth the trouble, thus we simply keep all the script files that are provided. This change thus restores the possibility for derivatives to use the udeb built by Debian. Related to #893713. Acked-by:
