patch from 2.3.2+r586-9.1ubuntu1 to fix #1065951

This is the patch from Ubuntu that's said to fix #1065951

I pulled this in from the launchpad repo, before noticing that it was written by Michael Hudson-Doyle, so it's probably more sensible to just apply his suggested patch from the bug.

Anyway, having done that, and having enabled salsa-CI (by setting 'CI/CD configuration file' to recipes/debian.yml@salsa-ci-team/pipeline) I thought I might as well open an MR in case any of this was of use to you.

BTW The reason I bothered is that the bug is currently threatening openqa (which I maintain) with removal.
