Strip trailing dots from man page descriptions (DBTS: #974658)
Since I am just getting started with contributing here, I wanted to submit a simple fix that demonstrates that I know how to put everything together properly. This is very low-hanging fruit, so it should be simple to critique any problems with my approach.
My pull request summaries are purposely very sparse. If details seem lacking, note that do write more extensive justifications in the commit messages, which (when from me) are almost always worth reading.
I argue that commit messages are preferable to pull request summaries because they follow the repository, which may be hosted somewhere other than Salsa some day.
