Sync Options between Code, Config and Docs

This is a big change set, synchronizing the available and documented options between code, configuration, manpages and inside the manpages. A few minor functional changes have also been made in cases where we encountered inconsistencies.

I am going to merge this Sunday 18. December, noon european time, if noone objects. Please review and comment.

With this changeset, we are now ready to ask for manpage translations. This does not mean that there won't be any changes to manpages any more, but I dont expect major manpage changes before the release after this was merged.
