Update matlab-mode to latest snapshot

Hi Sébastien, here is an MR to update matlab-mode. I have also enabled running the unit tests. Most of the commits is for syncing to the latest snapshot, and my changes starts from ee7a5e04. If you approve this change, I'll also merge the changes to the upstream/latest branch as well as the upstream tag.
