Homepage confuses

Lets assume a user installed three applications: Radicale, Minetest and ejabberd.

1.

Logged in the homepage shows:

Not logged in shows:

There is no explanation for WHY things get filtered – and HOW.

2.

Logged in & clicking on any card opens an "extra box" (not intended behavior in the card metaphor) that is not clearly associated to the card it originates from:

But more importantly that extra box contains no other information than the link under "Apps" would reveal, adding a confusing duplicate of another card with only one difference: it adds a "box" that adds another click (Configure »)until you reach your destination.

In this form I can hardly see a benefit of the homepage at all and would suggest replacing it with the Apps page. In the rare case that people need to populate a homepage we can add an option to add it back and populate it with sensible entries, but default to not having one and separate running applications for quicker access like that: https://salsa.debian.org/freedombox-team/plinth/issues/1309
