This are proposed changes to build the last upstream snapshot that closes #1038351. This includes a patch to set the datapath (share/games/freegish instead of share/freegish) used during runtime but this does not affect the installation accordingly. Still I tried to reduce d/rules to a minimum but I am not an expert. Take anything that can help ;-)

Isn't it possible to use a git snapshot like it is in the latest Debian package? I set everything up so that it works like this. On my side, I use gbp import-orig --uscan. Moreover, I do not have any upstream contact yet.

I'm two week on VACation soon and don't have unlimited time anyway; having a proper release makes it easier.
