Enable gobject-introspection support

This reverts commit e1b01264.

The upstream developer Jan-Michael Brummer requested that we enable this. https://launchpad.net/bugs/2084895

Maybe we need to do some build-profile work here to aid bootstrapping?

And maybe I should also add a -docs package since this needs to go through the NEW queue anyway.
