We consider dmstats now to be ready for use.

For example, to monitor I/O to each segment of logical volume vg0/lvol0
separately at 5 second intervals:
  dmstats create vg0/lvol0 --segments
  dmstats report --interval 5

Direct integration into LVM and some more extensions will follow soon.

This release introduces a new command, dmstats, for reporting device
I/O statistics.  This command is still undergoing active development
and we might still change any of the new interfaces in a subsequent
release (including command line options, output format and defaults,
field names, the new library functions etc.): they should not yet be
considered frozen.
