Bugfixes for 898191 and 878956 targetting stretch (0.14.0-4)

These are the three commits which correspond to the stretch-pu upload for sddm (Acked by SRM already, but would not mind to get a peer review and then get the changes merged into official packaging repo).

So please not to merge in master branch but into a stretch branch based on the 0.14.0-4 version.
