debian/tests/*: Improve test scripts

Guido Berhörster requested to merge personal/gber/tests into master

Use xvfb-run and dbus-run-session. Fix renamed environment variables. Enable verbose logging. Make an effort of cleaning up temporary files and background processes and add timeouts.
