Exactly. It's not exactly new: dpkg suggests using that instead of rm_conffile since 1.20.6 (oldstable).

I bet you can find DBUS_SERVICES_DIR, DBUS_POLICY_DIR,etc out via pkg-config directly from dbus rather than hard-coding any paths... How much extr...
